Inspired by Maggie Cheung’s character from Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love. The Cheongsam had been worn by the Chinese for centuries, but only became tailored and fitted to the body from the 1920’s, influenced by the Western dress and first worn by celebrities and high-class courtesans.
